The Gillette Wild Junior Hockey team is pleased to announce that Dalton McCann will play for the Wild next season. The Gillette native suited up for Class A Runner Up State High School team last season where he lead the state in scoring with 49 goals and 35 assists in 19 games.
Gillette Wild Junior Assistant Coach/ High School Head Coach, Nick Adamek, believes that Dalton is ready to make the jump to junior hockey. "Mickey is the kind of player that works for everything he has. His work ethic during practices and games was among the highest in the state this past year. He was the Captain of the high school team and I'm sure he will bring his offensive and leadership skills to the Junior team next season."
Coach Winkler believes that Dalton will succeed at the junior level. He went on to say "We're excited by his obvious skill sets. He's going to bring an element of offensive prowess that we are going to need next season."
Dalton joins current high school players Michael Burke and Brayden Yatsu as players tendered for the Wild next season.
