In the first, Mitzel opened the scoring for the Wild with a goal at 1:35 with helpers from his linemates, Oberg and Thompson. Newsome netted a goal at 9:19 with a helper from Eastep. Jens quickly followed with a goal at 10:39 with an assist from Tanner. Kody quickly followed with a goal at 11:43.
During the second, Matt deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:39 with assists from his teammates Adam and Goodman. Tanner scored a goal at 7:42 with a helper from Jens.
In the third period, Payton netted a goal at 6:01 with an assist from fellow Americans forward Kody.
