Cody Grogan posted a shutout, stopping all 14 of the Bozeman Icedogs shots throughout the game. The Gillette Wild took the lead early in the second on a goal from Nick Stockert.
Nick Stockert did his part, adding 2 goals and Derek Scoggins contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the second, Stockert opened the scoring for Gillette with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:31 with a helper from defenseman Feagins. Peterson netted a goal at 9:20 with assists from teammates Mitzel and Scoggins. Scoggins deposited a goal at 12:56 with helpers from Feagins and Oberg. Stockert scored a goal at 15:18 with assists from his linemates, Thompson and Grogan.
Gillette’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Grogan’s shutout, as he stopped all 14 of the shots he faced. Grogan’s counterpart, Orchard, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 34, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Gillette Wild’s record to (6-9-1-1).
