Gillette Wild goalie Dominic Hite, and forward JP Johnson were recognized with NA3HL Bauer Frontier Division Star of the Week Honorable Mention honors the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Hite stopped 42-of-44 shots he faced as the Wild defeated the Yellowstone Quake 4-2, Saturday night in Cody. The Baldwin, WI, product is now 2-0 on the season having saved 87-91 shots he has seen in his three appearances.
Johnson tallied five points as Gillette swept the weekend series over Yellowstone. Friday night Johnson scored a goal, and assisted on another in an 8-3 Gillette victory, before finding the back of the net three times Saturday night. The St. Michael, MN, native has recorded 16-points in eight games this season, scoring 11-goals and assisting on five others.
