Gillette downs Bozeman, 4-1

Dalton McCann had one point to lead the Gillette Wild to a 4-1 victory over the Bozeman Icedogs.

 

Gillette put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Bozeman to score on any of its four power plays. The Wild's offense rang up 64 shots on the Icedogs' net.

Gillette also got points from Cade Boreing, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and TJ McMinn, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Gillette also got a goal from Tristen Leberknight as well. In addition, Gillette received assists from Kyle Reilly, who had two and Alex Feese and Kyle Traux, who each chipped in one.

Bozeman could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 46 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Icedogs were led by Gunnar Mogck, who scored the team's only goal. Mogck scored 19:41 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Gillette. Kegan Couture provided the assist.

Alex Feese took the win and made 12 saves before being replaced by Sean Kelley who made 10 saves. Gillette incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Denijs Romanovskis recorded 60 saves for Bozeman.
