During the first, Scoggins opened the scoring for the Wild with a goal at 7:45 with helpers from teammates Oberg and Mitzel. Rieger answered for the Bighorns with a goal at 17:56 with a helper from Seitz.
In the second period, Seitz deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:20 with assists from his linemates, Cross and Scheibel.
In the third, Scheibel scored a goal at 12:37 with an assist from Seitz.
